I live in the Pacific Northwest and have several bird feeders on my balcony.  One of the frequent visitors is the Steller's Jay and they have a very distinctive look.  They are also very vocal and seem to have a ton of personality.  The mohawk of feathers they have on their heads reminds me of a series of steampunk-style tubes, almost as though the bird were steam powered.  I think that could be very cool and thought  I should create that version of the Jay.  Here is one of my initial sketches of the bird.  Please see here for the full project!

These are some projects I am looking into creating soon.  This is just a cleaned up scan of my sketchbook, but since I am always drawing, it just makes sense to share!

I have been learning Adobe Illustrator on my own using the help of books and internet tutorials.  This is one of my first projects.  I am enjoying the vector based project and the programs abilities, though I do love Photoshop still!

My next project is working on a logo for a new company.  I will be using a limited color palette and will work on business cards once the logo is complete.

I have created my new business card!  This is the front of the card.  I usually like to include a QR code on the backs of my business cards so that you can find my portfolio or LinkedIn page easily, but I decided to use the back of the card to list my technical skills instead.
